2622. వేరు తవ్వి వేణ్నీళ్ళు పోశినట్టు.

2625. వైద్యుడా నీ సంచిలో వేణ్నీళ్ళు వున్నవా అన్నదట.
O Physician ! have you hot water in your bag? A lazly woman consulted a doctor: he gave her a prescription--she said that she had no one to send for the medicine; He then gave her a powder which he told to mix with honey--she could get no honey; at last he gave her some medicine which only required to be mixed in hotwater--thereupon she asked whether he had any hot water in his bag!
Said of a helpless,feckless creature.
2626. వ్యాధికి మందు వున్నిదిగాని, విధికి మందువున్నదా.
Thjere is a remedy for disease, but there is remedy for fate?

2627. వ్రాత రాజ్యమేలవలెనని వుంటే, గ్రహచారం గాడెదలు మేపవలెనని వున్నదట.
When his fortune .would have him govern him a Kingdom, his misfortune would have him graze assess. The man was so unlucky that even the decrees of Brahma were overruled by his evil stars--(See Nos.1344,1637.) Grahachara literally signifies the rotation of the planets.

2628. శంఖంలో పొస్తే తీర్ధము, పెంకులో పోస్తే నీళ్ళు.
If you pour it into conch shell it is holy water, If you pour it into a potshred it is common water.

2629.శేఖూబాయీకి గోకులాష్టమి వకటా.
Has Shaikh Bhai a Gokulashtami? Gokulashtami is a festival observed in commemoration of the birth of Krishna; it falls on eigth day of dark fortnight of the month Sravana.
2630. శ్మశానమునకు పోయిన శవము తిరగదు.
The corpse which has gone to the semi try does not return.
2631. శ్రీరామరక్ష.
The protection of the great Rama.

2632. శ్వాసం వుండేవరకు ఆశ వుంటుంది.
As long as there is a breath there is hope.

If I were a smuggler in the fair, where could I sell my thread?
2634. సంతలో కొట్టినందుకు సాక్షులెవరు.
Who are witnesses to the [blow] struck in the fair? In a crowd, no one can tell by whom a blow was struck.
2635. సంధ్యావందనం చేస్తే పుణ్యంలేదుగాని చెయ్యకపోతే పాపము.
If you perform sandhyaandanam there is no merit, but if you neglect it there is sin.
