508. కండ్లు వుండగానే కాటుక.

509. కందకు లేదు, చేమకు లేదు, తోటకూరకు వచ్చెనా దురద.
- No acridity in Kanda or Chéma, how can there be any in Totakura?

- Kanda is the Arum Campanulatum; Chéma is the Colocasia Antiquorum; Totakura is applied to the Amaranthus Oleraceus, and other herbs.
- When a man’s relatives and friends won’t assist him, why should help be expected from a mere acquaintance ?
510. కందకు లేని దురద బచ్చలికేమి.
- If the Kanda possess no acridity, why should it be looked for in the Bachchali?

511. కక్కిన కుక్కవద్దికీ కన్న కుక్కవద్దికీ కానివాణ్ని అయినా పంపవద్దు.
- Don’t send even your enemy near a dog which has vomited, or a bitch which has pupped.
512. కట్టిన యింటికి పణుకులు చెప్పేవారు వెయ్యిమంది.
- Those who criticize the design of a built house are a thousand.
- He that buildeth upon the highway hath many advisers. (Dutch)[1]
