గీ॥ లాశీలాదిత్య కనక సేనాది రాజ
   రాజపరమేశ రణ విహారప్రతిష్ఠ
   ఖండఖండాంత నగర విఖ్యాతి హేతు
   వట్టి మేవాణ్ణృపుల నెన్న నలవి యగునె.7

    త్రమహీకాంతకు వజ్రభూషణమటుల్ రాణించు చిత్తూరుసం
    ద్రము మధ్యంబునఁ గోడలేడు కొమరొందన్ బైకిఁగన్పట్టు దు
    ర్గమ లంకాపుర పూర్వవైభవము జోకల్ జ్ఞప్తికిన్ దెచ్చుచున్.8

    సరుగ ననువైన వైశాల్య మతిశయిలఁగ
    నహిత దుర్భేదమగు గోడ లలరు కోట
    లేడుచుట్టు చిత్తూర్పురి కెసఁగియుండు.9

   రచ్చగమితోడ వారి యంత్రములతోడ
   భరత ఖండైక లక్ష్మీనివాస భూమి
   నగరమాత్రంబె చిత్తూరు నగర వరము.10

for children and colleges for every kind of learning, many scribes of the Beedar
tribe and the eighteen varieties of artisans. Of all, the Ghelote, is the sovereign,
served by numerous troops both horse and foot and by all the thirty six tribes of
Rajputs of which he is the ornament. Of all the royal abodes of India none could
compete with Chittor before she became a widow... .. .. Near the temples are
two reservoirs built of large blocks each one hundred and twenty five feet by fifty
feet wide and fifty deep, said to have been excavated on the marriage of the “Ruby
of Mewar" to Achil Keechie of Gogrown and filled with oil and ghee which were
served out to the numerous attendants on that occasion.
