1.95. "The alternation of -1-/-n- operates dialectatly to a great extent in Modern Telugu, but in the early speech it was very much restricted. However there is evidence to show that there was -n-/-1- alternation in PDr. which is seen in many cases in Ta. The following Te. form witb -n- has an alternant in -1- in the transitive, reflecting a similar alternation in the parent speech, capa "to go'. to elapse, tr. calupu 'ti pass (timey)' Krishnamurti, Bh.
